Are You Sharing Your Home With Hidden Killers?
FIND OUT WITH AIR QUALITY TESTING IN ATLANTA, GA

One of our most important, but often overlooked, home inspection services are air quality testing. We're all aware of the dangers of outdoor air pollution, but according to the EPA, the air quality inside your home is likely much more dangerous than outdoors. Get It Done Home Inspections provides air quality testing for homeowners in the Atlanta, GA area.

While we inspect your home, the test will gather data and then we will explain the results of the Formaldehyde and Carbon dioxide test once it is complete on the same day. The Mold test $125 consists of 3 to 4 air cartridges that are placed on a pump at various places in the home. Also we have sterile swabs for active/visible mold; all of which we send to a certified lab(overnight). The lab will give us details about the mold within 1-2 days.  This way, we will certified results and gain a better understanding if further action needs to be taken. If you need your air quality tested, please give us a call at 470-749-2549 now.

WHAT DOES AIR QUALITY TESTING REVEAL?

The three primary dangers your home inspector will search for are:

 •  Mold

Molds have been on the Earth for millions of years. Mold can get in your home through open doors, windows, vents, and heating and air conditioning systems. Mold in the air outside can be brought indoors on clothing, shoes, bags, and even pets.  Mold will grow where there is moisture, such as around leaks in roofs, windows, or pipes, or where there has been a flood. Mold grows on paper, cardboard, ceiling tiles, and wood. Mold can also grow in dust, paints, wallpaper, insulation, drywall, carpet, fabric, and upholstery.

     • Formaldehyde: This substance is found in many wood products, including furniture and some laminate flooring.                                                                             Formaldehyde exposure can cause nausea, skin irritation and respiratory ailments. Long-term exposure may  be linked to cancer.
     • Carbon dioxide: In high levels, it will make some people feel drowsy and give the lungs a stuffy feeling.  Concentrations of 7% to 10% (70,000 to 100,000 ppm) may cause suffocation, even in the presence of sufficient oxygen, manifesting as dizziness, headache, visual and hearing dysfunction, and unconsciousness within a few minutes to an hour.
